Some Tips

bulletGarlic cloves in a pint of boiling water, cool and strain, use this to spray on vegetables to prevent aphid attack.
bulletUse fleece to protect young seedlings and to prevent aphid attack on more mature plants.
bulletMulch plants with straw or old compost to retain water during summer and prevent weed growth.
bulletPlant garlic/marigolds next to carrots to prevent carrot fly.
bulletIf you are still a smoker keep the cigarette ends in a bucket and fill with water. The liquid dependant on strength is a good fungicide.
