Built in the local carrstone in the 19th century, and now set in its gardens of lavender, roses and herbs, it has become a distinctive Norfolk landmark .In the grounds we also have a National Collection of Lavenders. Each variety or species, has its own bed. There are about 50 different lavenders to see, although if there is any risk of frost, the half hardy and tender ones are kept indoors.
