Cyclists

Cyclists are welcomed by the National Trust, RSPB
 and the Countryside Agency

Cycling is a great way to see the countryside in the East of England, and the greenest way of getting to the nature reserves, parks, historic buildings and landscapes owned and run by the National Trust (NT) and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).
For your security and convenience, teamwork has resulted in the installation of modern cycle parking at many of our properties across the region, . Several places are close to the National Cycle Network or regional cycle routes, making the NT and RSPB worthwhile destinations for your cycle trips.

Cycling Map
(National Trust,  RSPB and the Countryside Agency)

For opening times and dates, admission prices and further information, please see detailed guides produced by the National Trust and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and their web-sites: National Trust and RSPB
N.B. whilst both organisations welcome people arriving by bicycle, and some properties have cycle routes across them, many are very sensitive conservation areas and cannot cope with the use of bikes away from public rights of way, designated cycle routes and parking areas. In addition, a number of bird reserves ask people on foot, horseback or bicycle to use paths (such as behind flood banks) where they are hidden from water birds, to prevent disturbance. Please be considerate and help conserve wildlife, sensitive landscapes and heritage for the enjoyment of all. For further information about the partnership of the three organisations contact Chris Wood on 01603 697515
