We Happy Few

by Imogen Stubbs

The sirens are wailing and the West End is dark. For a small and motley bunch of women 'doing your bit' means living out of the back of an elderly Rolls-Royce and criss-crossing the land to spread the magic of live theatre.
Tackling everything from the greatest works of Shakespeare to Winnie-the-Pooh, the troupe's acting abilities are stretched as personalities clash, tempers are tattered and relationships are born. Touching, humorous and heartening, 'We Happy Few' celebrates a passion for theatre and the power of comradeship.
