High Lodge is set in the heart of Thetford Forest, the largest woodland in the east of England. It is a great place to play, explore, picnic and relax. Enjoy some fantastic walks in the forest ranging from one to three miles and cycle trails for all abilities. Good quality home made refreshments are available in the cafe.

Open all year round. During summer the shop and cafe are open 9am until 5pm with the gates open at 9am until 7pm

What's at High Lodge: nine miles of walking trails (mostly on a level surface); over thirty miles of cycle trails, ranging from beginners to technical; Bike Art cycle hire, sales and accessories; 'Go Ape' high wire adventure course; adventure play area; giant play sculpture trail; picnic & BBQ areas; forest cafe and toilets; forest shop and events throughout the year.

Cost: Gorillas (18yrs +) from £30, Baboons (10 to 17yrs) from £20.
    Baboons (under 18s) must be supervised by a participating adult. An adult can supervise either two children (where one or both of them is under 16) or up to five 16 - 17 yr olds.
           
Think you, your friends and family can handle three hours of tree top adventure? Are you wild enough to climb thirty feet up a rope ladder, Tarzan swing into a giant rope net then zip wire through trees, crawl through tunnels and tackle high wire rope bridges? If the answer's yes, your ready to Go Ape. Wear something you don't mind getting dirty or even damaged. Dress for the weather. No open toed sandals or slip-on shoes. Long hair must be tied back.

Safety.
    Each participant is fitted with a harness and given comprehensive safety instruction from trained instructors
    Following the training, an instructor will NOT supervise you. Participants are responsible for supervising themselves around the course.
    Instructors patrol the course and are available if assistance is required.
